Description

Though I have called this a 'standard blade', it isn't really standard. In fact, this shape of blade is one of the fewest I have seen, but because the point is straight, and the curve very simple, I have called it a standard blade. The only other references to this shape of blade I have seen is "Normal Blade".

On a standard blade, the point is neither dropped or raised, but perfectly in line with the back of the handle, and should be perfectly flat. The only consistent example of this blade shape I have found is in steak knives.
