Marz Groove - Opening Systems

Marz Thumb Groove Info

The "Marz Groove" as Peter Marzitelli calls it was invented by him as an efficient and easy way to open a folding knife. This type of opening system is exclusive to Peter Marzitelli's custom knives and factory collaboration knives, though some copycats may exist.

The Marz thumb groove is basically a milled out groove on the blade of a folding knife that allows your thumb to grip onto it when opening the knife. It works exaclty like a thumb hole opener except rather than having a hole that goes all the way through, it is just a groove.
