Crucible CTS-BD1 Stainless Steel
Manufacturer: Crucible
Carpenter CarTech® CTS BD1 Alloy steel is a vacuum-melted stainless steel that is designed as a blade alloy, and some say, created with input from Spyderco. It is a highly corrosion resistant knife steel that sharpens up easily and holds it relatively well. It is not considered a high-end knife steel, but rather a good "regular" steel comparable to knife steels such as 440B and AUS-8.
Companies extensively using this steel include Spyderco.
