Bohler M390 Stainless Steel
Manufacturer: Böhler Edelstahl
BÖHLER M390 MICROCLEAN grade is a corrosion resistant, martensitic chromium steel. Large percentages of small, finely dispersed Cr- and V-carbides in a matrix containing at least 12% chromium offer the following benefits:
- highest corrosion resistance,
- optimum wear resistance,
- excellent polishability.
Bohler M390 was developed from the ground up as a knife steel and offers very high hardness in the 60+ HRC range and can be brought to a high polish. Several knife manufacturers have been using M390 including Kershaw and Benchmade who both use it quite extensively.
